Hello
My name is Addie Wood and I'm the creator of
D's Designs and Sweet Treats
I am currently a Junior at Wayne State College majoring in Family and Consumer Science Education. It seems fitting that I love expressing and sharing my creativity through several mediums including food, clothing, and art. My niece and nephew call me D, so that's where I got the idea for the name "D's Designs and Sweet Treats"!
Designs
While attending WSC, I developed a passion for sewing. A clothing recycling project assigned in one of my classes was the inspiration for the adorable aprons I now sell at the farmer's market. I also take special orders for these.
Sweet Treats
Growing up with a mom who teaches FCS, food has always been a big part of our family's day-to-day lives. And special occasions? Well, those were often feasts fit for kings. I watched and learned and eventually participated in the cooking only to find that I not only enjoyed it, but I was good at it as well. At our house, no recipe is ever complete unless it has been tried, tested, and reworked several times. Only then does it get the family seal of approval. All of my recipes have either been handed down from my mom or we have worked on them together to make them what they are today. We take great pride in serving delicious food and I think once you've tried some of our baked goods, you will notice the love that has gone into making them.

This too is something I learned by watching my mom and then doing on my own. I love helping people pose, creating a look, making people smile, editing pictures, and finally sharing the happy moments I've captured with my clients.
